My True Colors - Compressed oneandhalf inch

Producing art that people can connect with and enjoy is a continuous evolution of style, subject matter, palette and skill. As a contemporary realist, I love the challenge of helping a customer define what it is they would like to see on their walls.   It’s personal because the painting lives with you.     I have discovered many scenic locales through walking and biking, which provide endless ideas for my (mostly New England) subject matter.    My clients love New England landscapes and my style can be described as Contemporary Realism. My math and engineering background influences both the content and execution of my art.

In my blog, I describe some aspect of each and every painting while “in-progress” via my blog.    The blog readership has grown each month since inception to almost thirty thousand visits.    Enjoy browsing this collection and if you have a suggestion for a customized painting, let me know!  I would love to collaborate with you on your idea.

Professional Artist Dianne Paranelli-Miller describes Maureen Vezina’s work this way:

“Maureen’s  paintings have a freshness and spontaneity that can be achieved only by painting “en plein air” (from life) and painting every day.  Her work draws me in to her positive world and enhances mine.  The paintings have a “sense of place” that few artists achieve. The viewer can at once get a single, clear sense of her goal, even though the painting may contain a number of passages and she tells a story in every piece.

Her love and excitement for painting not only shines through in her stunning work, but in the lives she touches. I look forward to following her efforts for many years to come.”

  1. I saw a painting that you did called Lobsterman dragging traps on a rainy day. I think it might be my son who passed away two years ago. Is there a place where I can get a closer look at it?
